Farewell to the highly successful Austria pavilion at EXPO 2010 in Shanghai

AMIN Austria created the corporate design for the Austrian appearance at EXPO 2010 and after 6 months and 3.3 million visitors it was time to say goodbye to the Austrian pavilion in Shanghai. "Klasan's logo design helped us from the very beginning to build fruitful liaisons with the official Chinese posts," was the tenor of government superintendent Dr Hannes Androsch and EXPO-head Mag. Birgit Murr, at the celebratory end of the world exhibition. The Austria pavilion's corporate design adorned numerous giveaways, which were hugely popular with the visitors, and have since become veritable collectibles.
We developed an extraordinary logo for the Austrian pavilion at the 2010 world exhibition in Shanghai. It associates the Mandarin character "rén", which means "person" and looks similar to a capital A, with the A for Austria. At the same time, the character resembles an archway, through which visitors will enter A – Austria –, finding themselves in the Austrian pavilion at the EXPO 2010. Based on this logo, we designed and produced the entire CD equipment as well as a matching website. The website is consistently available in three languages – English, German, and Mandarin – the last of which was a new challenge for us to service on our content management system.
